This is a great place to get a quick bite to eat, it's inexpensive and has great choices ranging from burgers to corn dogs and even sandwiches. Fry's are a must. This place is great atmosphere for a conversation and a place that is appropriate for kids as well. The food is great, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff are pleasant.
While parking is limited, there is a drive through and the wait is short. We opted to dine in and were pleased with the cleanliness of the tables and restrooms.
The burgers were cooked perfectly and of course the shakes were fantastic as well. Definitely recommend.

Went here to compare their fries to the typical fast food chain fries and ended up loving the purple turtle fries over multiple other places. The staff were incredible as well. Purple Turtle has been in this location for ever! I've gotten take out at the drive up window and dined in. Had it for lunch and dinner. It's changed only slightly but has great crispy battered fries, awesome shakes and good food! Definitely recommend giving it a try!

I'm not a burger person so the circumstances had to be just right and today all of the stars aligned to get me to this iconic burger place. I wish I hadn't waited 20 years! I had the pastrami burger and it was the best with a pleasant smokey flavor to the pastrami and the right proportion of meat to bun. The onion rings were delicious. I was so impressed with how clean the inside seating area was. I will not wait another 20 years to go back.

In the summer of 1969, my husband and I were students at BYU and living in Pleasant Grove. We discovered the Purple Turtle and went there regularly for hamburgers and Fresh lime drinks. I was visiting in Provo in February 2025 and was happily surprised to see it was still there. My sister-in-law drove me to Pleasant Grove where we had hamburgers, milkshakes, and, of course, fresh limes. Thank you for still being there!

The Purple Turtle is so awesome! An awesome joint started and run by a local family. They have burgers, chicken, fish and chips, and lots more. My personal favorite were their sides, onion rings, fries, and English chips. Fried and crispy.
I had the Western Viking Burger and it was awesome! Onion rings and barbecue sauce. Their other burgers looked good too. I would probably try their fish and chips next time, I've heard they are hand breaded and fried fresh each day.

Way surprised by this place! Their shakes are thick, their fries and tater tots amazing, and I got their chicken sandwich, which didn’t look like much, but ended up being sooo good! I went with a friend that is English and he said they make the best fish and chips around! Great atmosphere and such a fun name!
